Door styles and a new sheet optimizer
Every hinged door has "Door style", and the optimizer makes better use of sheets: edge trim, saw cuts on the diagram and PDF, and rotating pieces to save sheets. Plus the Magic Cube Pull-out, Community plans and several fixes.
- Door style: in the Doors group of any piece of furniture, choose Standard (board), Aluminium and glass, Rebated frame, Tongue and groove frame, 45° mitred frame with rebate or with groove, or Hollowed with rebate. Set the frame width, the rebate or groove, and whether the centre is glass or board.
- Wood doors come out complete in the cut list (rails and stiles with their rebate, groove or tenon, plus the glass or panel to size). Aluminium doors don't, since they're ordered from an aluminium shop: we show you each leaf's size.
- The aluminium and glass colours are chosen in the parameters and show in 3D; if you paint a piece yourself, it keeps your colour.
- Magic Cube: new "Replace with Pull-out" option (spice-rack style tower with trays, overlay or inset, with or without a front).
- New sheet optimizer: it lays out each sheet in strips, like a panel saw, and tries to empty the least-used sheet so you don't end up with an extra sheet for one or two loose pieces. It tries cutting lengthwise and crosswise and picks what uses fewer sheets and fewer cuts.
- Edge trim: in "Calculate sheets" you set how much is trimmed off each sheet edge (10 mm by default, 0 for backs).
- Saw cuts: the diagram and the PDF show a line for every saw pass, and you see the total number of cuts for the job, each material and each sheet.
- Rotate pieces: in the result, pick several pieces and tap "Rotate"; their grain changes in your project and the layout is recalculated. If rotating a piece saves a sheet, we suggest it with an "Apply" button.
- Community: some projects made by MuebleMio users are now published as plans with the "Community" tag.
- Fixes: edge banding now shows on every shape (bevel, glass rebate, groove, tenon, hollow with glass); the edge banding length of flipped or rotated pieces inside a dynamic component was deducted from the wrong edge; and the Cut List no longer shows pieces that aren't cut.
- Optimizer fixes: the result looked shifted sideways on phones (now everything wraps and is more compact); the PDF always said 3 mm blade even with a different blade; and cut lines didn't show in the PDF. In the app, cut lines, total cuts and edge trim arrive with version 1.0.9; rotating pieces is on the web for now.
